75 years of post-war Reconstruction Rotterdam
Rotterdam Celebrates the City, that’s the title of the manifestation celebrating 75 years of post-war reconstruction. The reconstruction officially started on the 18th of May 1940, four days after the German bombing of the city centre, when city architect Witteveen was assigned the design commission for a new city centre.
On architectureguide.nl we collected the architecture of the reconstruction period (1940-1970) that were build within the ‘fireline’.
